i got a problem with a VCSA 6.0 on a customer environement.
The appliance has permanantly high CPU and RAM usage.
I made a VIM TOP, i can see VIM Health Service is taking 1 of the 2 CPU at 100 %
if someone has already meet that probleme, any advice is welcome,

In offline environments, is the simplest way to do this by simply downloading the patches?
The build number of the current installation is 11726888, which places it well down the list of available patches:

I'm in a unique situation, and I'm wondering if anyone can provide some insight here.
I have a VM with a hard affinity rule to stay on its specific host. There is already automation in place such that when the host enters MM, the vm is automatically powered down (so as not to prevent the host from entering MM.)
This is all working perfectly. The problem that I have is when the host exits MM.
When the host exits MM, the same VM also has automation to automatically power it back on.
My question is :
Is there anyway to delay DRS vmotion actions TO this host until the VM is fully powered on?

Just installed VMware 6.5 on my Dell PowerEdge R430 Gen 13 Server.
I created some vswitchs and need to delete them
The error says it is not found
I restarted the host but I still see them
VMK1 and vmk2 are the problem

I tried to apply a host profile which removed which gave me this error. I have removed the host profile, but on the hosts that I applied, I get this warning message.
Host profile apply failed with error: Error: list.remove(x): x not in list.
I press the suppress warning and then I select OK, I see in the Task Pane "Update Options Values", but the warning does not go away.
How can I remove all the "pending" updates to clear the warning message.

we're having a strange issue with independent disks that appear in VMs.
E.g. in VM MUGDC01 might appear an additional disk from a totally different VM e.g. from the Exchange Server.
We recognized the issue only because Veeam B&R was complaining about independent disks, that could not be backed up.
Currently we're having at least 4 VMs where this problem occurs. We could find no pattern so far or reproduce or understand, why this independent disks appear.
All disks reside on the same datapool and all VMs reside on the same production server. We're running vSphrere 6.5.0 Update 2 (Build 9298722).
Veeam keeps complaining and skips these VMs until we manually delete the independent disk(s).
In at least one case, three disks appeared in Windows 2016 Server standard diskmanagment as not initialized disks.
This is way to strange and way to spooky for us. But maybe anyone here can give us a hint?

Now that they are up and running, how can they be put into linked mode?

I am in the process of upgrading firmware on the storage arrays. I've to two storage arrays attached and under two different datastore cluster (Datastore Cluster 1 & DataStore Cluster2). I did all the vms storage migration to the Datastore Cluster2 successfully except vCenter Server Appliance (vcsa) vm. I am also able to migrate vCSA vm to the DataStore Cluster2 successfully but vCSA vm still shows up under VM when I go to Datastore Cluster 1. vCSA vm's setting shows VM working location as Datastore Cluster 2. vCSA VM appears under VM tab in both Datastore Cluster 1 & DataStore Cluster2). Datastore Cluster1 does not hold any of the vcsa vms' file. It is like a ghost sitting there.
I hope someone could help me to resolve this issue.

i don´t know why but one of my vm´s was missing an vmdk file. It is still running!
The Used Storage for that machine was only showing the size of the second disk!
So i decide to create the vmdk file new.
VMware KB: Recreating a missing virtual machine disk (VMDK) descriptor file
After recreating the vmdk file, the used storage for the vm Show the correct size. But when i edit the vm Settings and look at the disk size of that vm it tells me 0 MB
Any ideas how to fix that? Or is there something wrong with the vmdk file?

Hello, I installed the VCenterServer 6.5 on a Windows 2016 standard server. It's in a Domain. When i install the vmware Service under the local User it works until I change the User to a Domain administrator. then I get this Message:
same when I use the Flash Client (just another Port).
when go back to the Install User, now the website gives me the same Failure.
If I try to stop and restart the vsphere client, I get this message:

I am running the vCenter Server Appliance version 6.7 and I am using LDAP for authentication. When I first set up vCenter the LDAP authentication was working perfectly fine and continued to do so up until sometime last week. The problem that I am having is that under the users and groups tab when I select my LDAP domain I get the error "A vCenter Single Sign-On service error occurred" and I am unable to see any of the users. However, I am still able to log in to all of the LDAP user accounts without any errors. I am also unable to set permissions on objects by user but I am still able to add the users to groups.
I am using the vCenter Server Appliance version 6.7 running on ESXi version 6.7. I am using Open LDAP for authentication. I have both forward and reverse DNS records set up for both the vCenter server and the LDAP server. I have tried re installing vCenter Server to fix the problem as well as trying a different LDAP server, both of which did not solve the problem.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I've some servers moved from Microsoft Azure to onpremise Hyper-V. They all run as Gen1 (BIOS mode)
We're moving to VMware and is using VMware Converter to convert them to VMware. For all none previous Azure servers, VMware Converter works great! both BIOS (Gen1) / EFI mode (Gen2)
With all servers which previous was on Azure they all fail with "Unable to find the system volume, reconfigurationis not possible". What i've seen is that I can start the servers fine in VMware after I see this error but cannot use the sync. feature in VMware. The sync. feature is needed to be sure I have all changes on the "new" servers in VMware.
I've idenitifed the problem. On all failed servers i've the BCD boot image at c:\Boot. I managed to move the BCD c:\boot to another drive on a test machine but can't remember how I did it
After the C:\boot moved to another drive, the server still boots fine and VMware Converter was happy.
Can someone help me how to use the utils: bcdedit, bootrec, bootsect, diskpart to move from C:\ to another drive (remember for BIOS / MBR mode!)
