Single Sign On With Single VC

Hi All

I have a single virtual centre server connecting 2 clusters / sites:

Primary Site

4 hosts, 90 VM's

vCenter Server 5.1 on  physcial server

vCenter Single Sign-on installed locally to DB

vCenter Inventory Service

vCenter Database connected to remote MS SQL 2008 DB (VCDB)

Replication 5.1

DR Site

2 hosts, 40 VM's (5 wanting to setup for replication)

vCenter Server 5.1 on a VM

vCenter Single Sign-on installed locally to DB

vCenter Inventory Service

vCenter Database connected to remote MS SQL 2008 DB (VCDB)

vCenter Single Sign-on Database (RSA)

Replication 5.1

Primary site is the active VCentre and is working fine. DR site is in standby with the VM powered on but all VM Services are stopped and disabled. In case of a DR test in the past i have been able to down all primary site services and then simply enable DR site services and reconnect the hosts to perform a DR test.

Today in prep testing my DR site Virtual Centre Server serives and web services would not start and in doing my research it is recommended to purchase 2 VCentre server licences and setup multi site or HA.

This is something i dont want to do due to cost for another license, so i was hoping someone can direct or assist in suggestions so i can run the above with only one virtual centre server license.

Can i direct 2 virtual centre server installations to one Single Sign-On server & DB.

Thank you
