Hi,
We have a vCenter Server which isnt behaving after our monthly patching reboots, vCenter is running on a Windows platform (10GB Ram, 4vCPUs) and has a separate SQL DB Server. After the reboot the vCenter Server Service starts but starts consuming a high amount of system memory, this memory usage continues to grow until the resource monitor within windows stops the service. When the service is up we can connect to the vCenter through the thick client and we can see multiple active user sessions?. After checking the VPXD logs we can see the following errors that tie up with the sessions that are still active - These are repeated for every client having problems.
[04004 warning 'ProxySvc'] SSL Handshake failed for stream TCPStreamWin32(socket=TCP(fd=10704) local=vcenterip:443, peer=PeerIP:50641), error=SSL Exception: Unexpected EOF
When we manually reboot the workstations where the active sessions are the memory pressure is released on the VPXD process and everything is then running how we expect.
Can anyone offer any advice on why this would occur?
Many Thanks
