I have a question regarding log file.
We are using vmware version 4.1, early this month one of the guest VM failed backup and error quiesce to take a snapshot. I tried to fix this error using Symantec website. <-- this is not a issue.
I need to check in log file, I tried to check in vmware.log,hostd.log and vxpd.log not found the date that I really wanted. What I found in the log is the date today even I scroll down until end (used notepad @ workpad to open the file). In vSphere I track the system log also not found.
I not sure either if got the oldest log keep in the ESX Host. I tried to search in website vmware or else not found.
By standard configuration for log file, where this file located?
Other issue, in log file I want to really understand hope someone can assist me on this. When open any log it state [date,time, 0AB12C34(I believe this refer to server) info 'App' opid=1111111-11] <--- are this correct?
