Hi to all,
We have two physical datacenters with one VMware vCenter with one VMware Datacenter and one Cluster. Four ESXi hosts are stored in datacenter 1 and four ESXi hosts stored in datacenter 2. Our datastore (SAN with FC) for the VMs is also separated in datacenter 1 and 2 and mirrored to the other datacenter.
I'm searching for a solution for the following problem:
VM should automatically start on one of the four ESXi hosts on which the datastore exists.
This means, if the datastore is in datacenter 1, the VM should start on one of the four ESXi hosts in datacenter 1.
If the datastore is in datacenter 2, the VM should start automatically on one of the four ESXi hosts in datacenter 2.
If one datacenter is not reachable, the VMs should automatically start on the second datacenter.
If I configure two VMware cluster, failover is not possible 
Anybody know, how I should configure our vCenter to fix this problem?
