Dear Community.
After installed 3 VMWare ESX 5.0 and one 5.1 in some build versions i have 4 times the same effect with this 4 installations on 4 different customers.
I create a new VM with the wizzard, select the guest OS "Windows 2008 R2 64 Bit"
Now i map the sbs2011 Image an install sbs2011. Then i install a second VM Windows 2008 R2 64Bit with Virtualcenter. (Then some other vms but in this case not from interest.
Weeks later i notice something strange.
I see in vc that all 4 SBS2011 server have guest os Windows 7 (64Bit)
Ohter vms with Windows 2008 R2 still have the correct guest os shown.
Log in wit vshpere Client direct to the esx i see the same so that is no Problem from vc i think.
I shutdown the sbs2011 an now in vc and the vsphere client the showing guest os Change to Windows 2008 R2 64Bit.
After starting the vm it change back to Windows 7 64Bit
I have no problems with the vm but with an backup tool and the Support says: i ist Windows 7 64bit guest os it doesnt work.
How can o fix it that after starting the sbs2011 it will Show Windows 2008R2 64bit
(notice: in some custom installations it works. we have an Installation template and i dont know where the problem is)
