I've created a local group on my vCenter server and placed the local administrator account inside this group.
I've then assigned this local group to the administrator role within vCenter at the highest level of the hierarchy propogating down.
However, If I remove the default administrators group from the vCenter role assignment which, I'm unable to login to vCenter using my local administrator account.
So, even though my local administrator is a member of my local group and assigned the administrator role in vCenter it won't let me in.
If I then assign the administrator user directly to the administrator role and provide permissions at the top level, I can log in.
Does anyone know why I'm unable to login to vCenter when my local admin user is a member of a group assigned permissions in vCenter?
