vShpere 5.1 Distributed Port Mirroring

Hi all,

I am testing out the new (new to me anyway) vSphere 5.1 and I am setting up an IDS on a VM to monitor other VMs on other hosts.

Part of the reason I decided to test with vSphere 5.1 was the distributed vSphere 5.1 switches ability to use RSPAN VLAN for port mirroring across hosts and I have been able to do this thanks to the following tutorials:

My question is, in the tutorial it shows how to setup the RSPAN VLAN using the vSphere web client, but I am unable to find a way to do it through the vSphere client (local install).

Do any one know if this is possible or can it only be carried out using the web client?
