Hi,
i have 3 esx 4.1 hosts, vms running on 2 networks, but vMotion, HA and DRS cluster principle is to have identical network lables. so i created 2 switches with 2 network lables on each host so that it will be identical. Now everything is fine, vMotion, DRS and HA. Main issue is i also implemented DPM (distributed power management) so, when ever is host is idol , it goes to stand by mode. It's also fine, when vms start running stand by host starts coming out of stand by mode and in the task list it shows, exiting stand by mode and configuring HA agent.
At configuring HA agent , it fails and i get error saying"cannot complete the configuration of the ha agent on the host" error. Not only this time, if take any of the host to maintenance mode and bring back online, configuring HA agent fail,
If remove HA on entire cluster and enable, then it works
why i'm getting error while reconfiguring HA individually ????
If this issue won't get resolved i can't enable DPM.
