Hi,

I am unable to connect two ESX hosts to our vCenter.  You can find the error on the attached sheet.

ESX1 have 15 VMs (All VMs are running fine) and one VM has snapshots. I tried to consolidate it, but throwing me an error: "The available memory resources in the parent resource pool are insufficient for the operation". Then I tried to reconnect the host with 'root' and 'password', but here I am getting the error: "A general system error occurred: Timed waiting for vpxa to start"

I tried to restart 'vpxa'  and reconnect the host back to vcenter, There also I got the same error: "A general system error occurred: Timed waiting for vpxa to start"

Then I tried to restart the services by SSH, command is : services.sh restart, once restarted the services, it asked me to connect the host back to vCenter, and I tried. There also I got the same error: "A general system error occurred: Timed waiting for vpxa to start"

ESX2 have 15 VMs (All  VMs are running fine).  I have not tried any steps to fix this issue.

Can you please help me to fix this issue?

Regards,

Neena
