Hi all...so what are the functional differences between Active Directory (Integrated Windows Authentication) and Active Directory as an LDAP Server? For some reason, my company's AD is horked up to the point where the Integrated Windows Authentication is spotty, at best, so my 5.5 environment is set to use AD as an LDAP Server.
I've been playing with vSphere 6 a bit and can't get the Integrated Windows Authentication source to work there either, however the AD as an LDAP Server works fine. I can assign permissions to users/groups from the domain and there aren't any issues.
So am I missing anything by going this route? I had a 9+ month SR opened with support and they confirmed there were bugs in the integrated source type method that were supposedly fixed in 5.5, but it appears they didn't make it into 6.0. Thoughts?
