Hi

From time to time I have strange situation that guest VM lose network connectivity. I can ping "vm_self IP" from inside VM. From "outside" VM IP can not be pinged or be able to ping gateway from inside VM.

Guest OS is Windows Server 2012 R2 and it is deployed from template, guest os version on VM properties / options tab, is designated as Windows Server 2008 R2 (x64).

After deploying and before first start of deployed VM I've changed guest OS version in VM properties / options tab, to Windows Server 2012 x64 (because I do not have in dropdown box to choose Windows Server 2012 R2).

When I turn off VM and change in VM properties / options tab Guest OS version from Windows Server 2012 x64 back to Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 and turn on VM, lose of network connectivity for that VM never happen again.

vCenter is version 5.1.0 build 1123961

vm version is vmx-09

vSphere tell that I have "current" VMWare tools for VM, 9.0.5 build 1065307

Does anyone have any advice ?

Thank you.

Best regards

Nenad
