Changing vCenter host display name from IP to FQDN

Hi guys,

I'm trying to change the display name of an ESXi host from IP to FQDN.

I've tried the following: http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1014030

to disconnect the host (vmware1), delete the vpxuser and re-connect using FQDN.

I'm getting the "Datastore 'datastore1' conflicts with an existing datastore in the datacentre that has the same URL... but is backed by different physical storage." error message when I try to reconnect.

I renamed datastore1 to host-datastore1 but encountered the same error message.

host-datastore1 does not contain any VMs and is only mounted on 1 host (vmware1).

I can reconnect the host using the IP.
