Missing tables in vCenter database?

We had a power outage and long story short everything went down. As things were coming up my 5.5 VMs came on by themselves while we were still working out issues with the network and storage. All of them were slow so I was rebooting them and the vCenter DB server was hanging on the reboot (Windows 2012 and SQL 2012). So I forced it to reboot and after that I could not log in to vCenter as myself using the DNS name of the vCenter server. Using a local admin or the administrator@vsphere.local that wouldn't work either. I could by IP address and yet a coworker could by DNS name. So I went in with the IP address and gave myself admin permissions at the root level and everything works fine (I think).

While troubleshooting I read to check the tables under the vCenter database and look at vpx_access table but when I got to my vCenter database I don't see any tables. Is there something wrong here or am I just missing something?
