Power-cli and Inventory Service

Hi,

we installed a vcenter server (5.5 u2) with the Inventory Service and we are using power-cli to start esx servers.

To check if esx has completely started we use "connect-viserver"...this command return ok only after that the Invetory service has started (it takes about 10 minutes).

Could you explain me the correlation between Inventory Service and the power-cli?
