Backup and restore in vCenter environment

Hi,

I am new to vCenter, i am familiar with vmware ESX backup restore with the help of VADP and VDDK.

Now i am trying to explore vCenter, I want to take backup of vCenter VM without asking login details of ESX which is added in vCenter.

Using VADP i am able to find VMs and manage VMs in vCenter,

But I am not able to do same thing with VDDK because it does not connect to vCenter.

Is it possible to use VDDK directly with vCenter? or there is other way to do this?

also i heard about VCB is it same i am looking for??
