vCenter Update Manager & vCenter Appliance

I'm pretty new to vCenter

I'm using the current vCenter appliance but I would also like to use vCenter Update Manager.

Couple of quick questions that I'm hoping you can help answer:

1) Where do I get the binaries to install on windows - is it just the normal vCenter for Windows install package?

2) Does it require a database and if so, will it install a local DB (my install is only a couple of ESXi hosts)

3) I'm doing this as a learning experience, so please be patient with my questions
