Good Day All,
I have a single Exchange 2013 VM that I am starting to migrate mailboxes from a single Exchange 2010 VM. I have only one share storage device on the network that three vSphere 5.0 hosts connect to. What do you thing would give me better results on the migration:
Creating a DRS rule that keeps the two VM together on the same host to leverage the speed of the virtual switch and having the bottleneck be the SAN uplinks
--Or--
Creating a DRS rule that separates the VMs onto separate hosts to spread the workload over two servers and having the SAN’s spindles be the bottleneck and maybe its network uplinks as well.
