This problem may have been from a power outage, I do not know.
I am unable to login to the VCSA vCenter 5.1.0.5300 Build 947940 with the vSphere client. From the management web service, both the Server and Inventory Service were stopped. I am able to successfully start the Server service, but Inventory Service is consistently in the Stopped state. After starting the Server service, I still cannot login with vSphere.
Performing a restart shows that the SSO service is producing a 404. (see screenshot)
I am having some trouble finding some basic troubleshooting documentation on the VCSA.
In anycase, if the the unfortunate happens and I need to start from scratch, for the future is there a method of backup/restore for the VCSA or embedded database that doesn't involve a Snapshot?
