How to remove old entries on datastore in vcentre?

HI,

Please go easy on me, I have had no training on vcentre or virtualization and the guy who did has left, so I'm on my own and new to all this.

So we had an issue where the SAN became full and stopped me from booting a virtual machine. So I looked on the vcentre and under the storage cluster it said there was a virtual machine template that was taking up 150gig. So I converted it to a Virtual Machine, used the migrate to move it to another cluster and another SAN. I then converted it back to the template. That all seems good. However when I go to the original SAN it still appears there, although it does say space used is 0 of 150gig and on the other data store it appears 150gb of 150gb. So it looks like it has moved fine, but I want to get rid of the entry on the old datastore as it will get confusing in the long run. My previous colleague also moved some virtual servers and looking at it they also have these entries. I did try removing it from the inventory on the old datastore but it removed it on both. I'm obviously missing something. so is it possible to remove the old entry on the old datastore and if so how do I do it?

I've had a prod around the internet but I cant see anything relevant. Any help would be great.

Thanks

M
