Hi,
I have two vCenter servers at different locations.
- Primary site was installed first.
- Secondary site SSO was linked in a multi site SSO configuration pointing back to the primary SSO.
- vCenter services are registered to there local SSO service.
After reading this was determined to be the setup to have Linked Mode work.
I remoted desktoped to the second vCEnter server and I was able to join the second vCenter server to the first vCenter server in the link mode group without issue. I can get on the VI Client and connect to the second vCenter server and link mode will work and show me both vCenter server resources.
HOWEVER, if I get on my first vCenter server, linked mode will not work, meaning I can only see the one vCenter(the primary one).
I thought maybe your supposed to join both vCenter to a linked mode group by running the Link mode setup on both. So I run the linked mode setup on the primary site vCenter server and I got an error that the VMware VCMSDS was already part of a linked mode group. I am guessing that is a normal error because I joined it already when I run the setup on the second vCenter server.
Should I be able to log into either vCenter via the VI client and see both vCenter sites in a single pane of glass right?
Any help will be appreciated.
