I did a stupid thing : I suspended "vmware vCenter Server Appliance" and now I can't connect to it anymore

Hi,

First some info about our system. We have a cluster of three hypervisors and a few terabyte of storage on two Synology-appliances. We use vCenter Server to control everything. This vCenter is accessible through a dedicated ip-address. So I open my vSphere-client 5.5 on my workstation, fill in the name and the credentials of the vCenter and hup I can admin everything.

Now, what did I do with my sleepy head? I suspended something called "vmware vcenter server appliance". And my vsphere-client lost my connection with the vCenter Server immediately.

I can't ping that ip-address anymore.

I'm afraid that ssh is disabled.

The virtual machines installed on it seem to be running smoothly, I can access them using RDP. So no worries for the employees using them.

So I would like to be able to restart that "vmware vcenter server appliance" but I don't know how to do it.

Any usefull ideas would be nice.

And yes, it is a really really stupid mistake.

Thanks,

Paul
