Hi Team, apologies if this has been answered elsewhere .
I am currently installing vCenter 5.1 Update 1c Update Manager, and everything authenticates correctly but gets stuck at following.
vSphere Update Manager stuck on Status: Creating VMware vSphere Update Manager database repository.
The install does not error out just sits there until cancelled from task manager.
Server 2008 R2 vCenter Server 5.0 upgraded to 5.1 Update 1c including Inventory Service, SSO, vCenter Server.
Update Manager was not previously installed before upgrade, and is using a oracle database on a separate redhat server.
vCenter Server is using the required 64bit ODBC and DSN, with Update Manager using 32bit ODBC DSN.
Checking the logs everything appears to connect successfully but then just sits there, the log shows Executing sql statement: alter table VCI_UPDATE_CONFLICT_INFO
drop constraint FK_VCI_UCI_UPDATE -1
