Backup a production vCenter 5.5 to restore in a lab?

I am looking for help to backup a production vCenter 5.5 and restore in a lab.

Is there any documentation pertaining to this process. Has anybody here done this before?

I'd appreciate it very much if you could list the steps involved, I am very green when it comes to this.

From my limited knowledge, all you need to do is backup the vCenter Database and SSL Certs and point the new lab installation to the SQL backup files? Is that it?
