Hi,
I have vCenter 5.5 using virtual appliance and 2 x 5.5 ESXi servers.
1 - 1st ESXi has two Local Raid volumes, one with 3.51TB and 2nd with 2.72TB.
Default DataStore1 was with 3.51TB, later I increase the size of the DataStore1 and add 2.72TB disk which make DataStore1 size to 6.35TB.
After done with some of the testing using more then 4TB vmdk. I needed to go back with the Original 3.51 TB datastore and create 2nd DataStore2 on
a 2.72TB volume. So, I can have two separate Datastores, DataStore1 and DataStore2.
I Moved all of the vms and the template from the DataStore1, unmount the datastore. Create a new DataStore2 on a 2.72TB Volume and mount back the
DataStore1.
But DataStore1 still showing me the old capacity with 6.35TB and Free 3.51TB. Where DataStore2 is showing Capacity of 2.72TB.
Both DataStores are mounted and available but DataStore1 still shows the old size when I had 2.71TB volume added.
How can I fix the Total Capacity size of the DataStore1, so it shows the correct Capacity?
2 - 2nd ESXi I attached two luns from the iscsi to increase the overall DataStore size. After following the
I still see the Capacity is same as before removing, detaching and unmounting the luns.
It's the same issue as ESXi 1 above. vCenter is not refreshing and picking up the updates DataStore Capacity.
I am also attaching both ESXi datastore properties and sizes where it shows only one device is attached.
