New install of vCenter Server Fails - SSO

I am running a new nested system for a home lab.  I am running Workstation 9 with latest vCenter version.  I have the DC, SQL all setup and verified.  The clocks are set to the same time within seconds of each other.  However, during installation when I get to vCenter Single Sign On Information, it comes back with the error of:

Wrong input – either a command line argument is wrong, a file cannot be found or the spec file doesn’t contain the required information, or the clocks on the two systems are not synchronized. Check vm_ssoreg.log in system temporary folder for details.

I have checked the two KB's that have information regarding this,

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=2033880

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=2033875

and following the steps, I still cannot get pass this.  I then found this blog, http://blogs.vmware.com/kb/2012/09/vcenter-server-5-1-installation-fails-with-a-wrong-input-and-certificate-already-expired-error.html#.UWZSkJOThyI and from reading it, I get the assumption that this is no big deal, however, I still cannot finish the install until this is fixed, at least from what I know.

I am fairly new to this forum and to implementing vmware but am learning a lot but this one has me stumped at the moment.

Thoughts on how to resolve this issue, other things to test, etc?
