VCenter 5.5 fresh install

Hi All: I would like to do a fresh install to increase my understanding of vCenter and a better understanding of our environment. I'm willing to lose past performance data to do this.  I would like to get some feedback if I'm thinking through all that would need to be done.

1. Bring up a new VM (located in the 5.0 U1 environment) and install vCenter 5.5 (Simple install) with a new database.

2. Looking at the 5.0 U1 environment

a. Creating Datacenter

b. vCenter Inventory Folder Structure

c. Recreate dvSwitches

d. Mounting NFS Storage

e. Add licensing

3. Move all hosts from 5.0 U1 environment to the new 5.5 environment

4. Put one of my hosts into maintenance mode.  Once all VMs have migrated, remove host from cluster/datacenter.

5. Load ESXi 5.5 on that host and add it back to the cluster and then test vmotion and running some VMs.

thanks in advance!
