I am attempting to use Authentication proxy to add hosts booted with Auto Deploy to my AD environment (install steps listed in the link above). I am not able to add the hosts either manually or using host profiles, here are the issues I am encountering:
Method #1 - Modifying the host profile and attempting to apply it to a host (settings attached in 1.jpg).
Cannot apply the host configuration.
Could not verify the certificate of the specified vSphere Authentication Proxy Server.
The installation documentation I have found does not mention anything about certificates, nor how to import/export them, or where they should be exported to. Exporting them to the esxi host certainly doesn't make sense to me, since these are Auto Deploy hosts anything like that would be discarded on reboot.
Has anyone else encountered this? What am I missing here?
My environment is:
Windows 2012 R2 throughout
vCenter 5.5 U1 (build 1623101)
