New vCenter VM and need to connect to an ESX1 4.1 host.

Hello all,

I am under a not difficult situation in my enterprize environment, but someho I am very confused after some hours of trying.

Currently I have an ESXi 4.1 host with some VMs on it. One of these VMs is the vCenter server which had been upgraded to version 5.1 some months ago. The vCenter Server runs on a Windows Server 2003 64-bit VM.

Two days ago I decided to upgrade the vCenter from 5.1 to 5.5, but unfortunately the version 5.5 doesn not run on a Win 2003 server. So I installed a new VM with Windows server 2008 R2 and the plan is either to migrate everything from the old vCenter to the new one, or just connect the new vCenter server with the host (I do not run any complicated envirnment, I have only 5-6 VMs and the only thing I would need from the old vCenter is some snapshots, but I do not care if I don't get them).

First of all, I installed the new vCenter (5.5) and I connected it to the host. I logged in with as administrator@vsphere.local and I was able to see the vCenter server there. I added my domain account in the Administrators group and the VCOAdministrators group, but when I log in with my domain account I do not see any vCeter server there.

Now, what I want to ask you is: You read above what I want to do. What would you do if you were me?

Thanks in advance for all of your answers.
