vCenter licensing confusion

I'm pretty new to VMWare and being a system administrator in general, so I'm muddling through the environment I inherited and trying to figure things out. We have two sites with VM hosts; our HQ office which has 3 hosts and a DR site with a single host. Until a few months ago the DR host was not managed by a vCenter server. I joined the single host out at the DR site to an empty Datacenter object the vCenter server appliance running on the hosts in HQ. I don't recall if it asked for any sort license or not when I did this.

Now I'm trying to get SRM working between the sites, so I deployed a vCenter server appliance to the host in the DR site and licensed it. Now I'm trying to join the DR host to an empty Datacenter object in DR vCenter server (and thus remove it from the vCenter server in HQ).

When I do this, the wizard asks me to assign a license key to this host. Here's where I get lost. It suggests I assign a license key that I'm already using for this host, but then when I try to use it I'm told that the license is part of another inventory and I'll be out of compliance unless I remove it from the other inventory. I'm not sure what all this means so I dug through my available licenses on the VMWare site until I found the red-obscured license in there and what I have is this. The license that is obscured in red is the one that's in use at the HQ site. So if I understand correctly, then I should put the one that is obscured in green in for the DR site?
