Installing vCenter Server 5.5 with Single Sign-On - Domain question

Hello,

I'm relatively new to VMware and have spent some time reading about the vCenter installation but I would just really appreciate some clarification regarding installing the vCenter Single Sign-On on a single Windows domain.

We have two completely separate VMware environments but they share the same Windows domain. I only look after one of the environments.

When installing vCenter Server in Simple Mode I got as far as the prerequisite check where the option to 'Add domain as a native Active Directory identity source' is selected by default. I am unsure whether I can go further before confirming the below?

Can we have separate instances of VMware vCenter Single Sign-On related to the two separate VMware environments without having any affect on the other? Or because they are both on the same domain will vCenter Single Sign-On have to be associated between the two environments?

If we can have two completely separate instances of vCenter Single Sign-On on the same Windows domain is there anything I need to select when installing. i.e. like the option I have highlighted above?

Also to clarify do we have to install VMware vCenter Single Sign-On as part of the vCenter install?

Apologies if I have misunderstood this and thanks for any help.
