I have no custom scripts but I see this error: custom pre-freeze script in the virtual machine exited with a non-zero return code

Hello,

When backing up a particular Windows 2008 R2 guest I see this error:

"custom pre-freeze script in the virtual machine exited with a non-zero return code"

This guest has no custom pre-freeze scripts, or any other sort of custom scripts. I checked in the "VMware Tools" directory in Program Files and deleted all the default custom scripts and the backupScripts.b directory. I checked the Windows directory for scripts and there are none. I opened VMware Tools and disabled all the scripts for suspend, resume, etc. I can create/delete snapshots without any problems. Still, when I backup I see the error mentioned above. I don't understand it because I made this guest from a template, didn't create any custom scripts, and there never any custom scripts in the template to begin with. Other guests made using the same template back up just fine.

Any ideas???
