We have recently taken over another company and to enable file access over the 2 sites have set up an external trust between our domains (this is only used for file sharing and as far as I'm aware there is no plan to merge the domains etc...). They do not have a virtual environment at all and their admin accounts have no rights on our domain (and vice-versa).
I have noticed that the external domain has been picked up as an Identity Source in VMWARE SSO. The problem we're having is that the external site has an unreliable internet connection and if this goes down it stops our VEEAM backups from working (I'm not really sure why - it seems that an identity source being unavailable stops the backup from running even if that identity is not used for anything....)
So my question is:- can we A) Stop the external domain from being re-added to the identity source list (we have manually deleted it for now) or B) is there another way to stop the availability (or lack there of) of an unused source from affecting the backups?
