I have a virtual appliance for vShield Manager and I am not able to power it ON. It says "Disk consolidation needed". If I try to power it ON, it gives error:
An error was received from the ESX host while powering on VM vShield Manager.
Cannot open the disk '/vmfs/volumes/vShield Manager/vShield Manager-000002.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on.
The parent virtual disk has been modified since the child was created. The content ID of the parent virtual disk does not match the corresponding parent content ID in the child
If I browse the datastore on which the virtual appliance is, I can see the .vmdk file along with 000001.vmdk and 000002.vmdk.
I did SSH to the esxi host and using vi tried to check the Disk Descriptor file of the vmdk files to change the CID but vi vShield Manager.vmdk is blank. There is no content present inside the VMDK files.
Any suggestion how can I fix this issue?
