So here's what happened, one of our HP G7 AMD hosts went dead, kaput, not even get to post and just beeps perpetually.
So it's been down for a while and we started seeing some problems in the cluster so since one host was dead, we removed it out of the vCenter cluster. It didn't help but the issue was later found to be something else. Now long story short, the host just got fixed but it was a dirty removal from the vCenter cluster. I recall it was a pain the the buttox to get the revived host back in a cluster (back in the 3.5 days).
What is the current process in this scenario and version?
The host is ESXi 5.0 Build 914586 and the vCenter Server is 5.1 U2.
I haven't even racked it back up yet so I just need some info/process to get me started.
